Let's face it, kittens are well, absolutely nuts! They jump on objects that aren't there, claw and climb up furniture, wrestle with the tiniest piece of yarn and play with just about any object, even a speck of dirt. But boy are they cute! We love kittens, have had many over the years and always appreciate the chaos that comes along with each new baby. The worst part about kittens is that they grow up. Just like many humans, when they reach a certain age, they lose their adorable sense of wonder in the world, or at least act too bored to be awed anymore (except on occasion when someone wiggles a shoelace in front of their nose).
What you should know about kittens
Before you consider getting a kitten, if you've never had one before, be aware that they are quite different than adult cats and any other pet you've already had. Kittens love to play, eat a lot and like to jump into action about 4 in the morning. They have no common sense when it comes to heights (very little fear) and the necessity of sleep. When they're tired they nap, and they like to sleep in tiny little spaces that you didn't even no existed in your house. But all in all, having kittens can be a whole lot of fun, just be careful when they're playful especially if you have small children, because they can cause a nasty scratch.
