A popular potty training method is crate training. By using a crate, the assumption is that dogs will not want to go where they sleep. Therefore, they will quickly learn to go potty outside of their crate. The key is to consistently take your pup out, after a meal, after a nap, first thing in the morning, last thing at night and of course if he/she cries in the night.
